چکیده
Objective: QMAC-dRAST TM is a phenotypic automatized Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing (AST) system based on microfluidic chip technology enabling observation of changes in single bacterial cell under antibiotic treatment conditions. The 96 wells plate with dried antibiotics comprises 19 and 17 for the Gram-Negatives (GNs) Gram-Positives (GPs), respectively. Categorical (Sensitive, Intermediate or Resistant) results were compared to obtained by our laboratory standard susceptibility testing procedure given as Agreement (CA). Methods: In 3-month period (2019/2020), blood cultures detected positive included. Excluded known off-panel strains , such Gram-positive bacilli, Streptococcus Candida species. Percentages CA (CA, %) between routine methods used (EUCAST disc diffusion and/or etest/Broth Micro Dilution MIC), calculated. Results: 255 from many patients examined. Of culture strains, 144 GNs, 111 GPs. An overall combined CA,% 96.3 (2410 2502 determinations) was obtained, discrepancies noted 92 test (3.7%). percentage very major errors (VMEs) 0.7% GNs 2.2% For 87% specimens examined, reports available within 6-7 hours. Conclusion: high well GPs are promising. presented time report data this study being 3-8 hours examined strongly support further possible improvement workflow handling stream infections.

Rapid phenotypic antimicrobial susceptibility testing using nanoliter arrays.
Antibiotic resistance is a major global health concern that requires action across all sectors of society. In particular, to allow conservative and effective use of antibiotics clinical settings require better diagnostic tools that provide rapid determination of antimicrobial susceptibility. We present a method for rapid and scalable antimicrobial susceptibility testing using stationary nanolit...
متن کاملRapid Sensor Based Technology: A Novel Tool for Direct Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing in Urinary Tract Infection
Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is the second most common infectious disease in humans. Increasing antimicrobial resistance emphasizes the urgent need for quick and reliable diagnostic tests for evidence based antibiotic use/therapy. Increasing trend in resistance to common antibiotics used for treatment of UTI due to polymicrobial infection as opposed to monomicrobial infection makes it importan...

Rapid colorimetric assay for antimicrobial susceptibility testing of Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
A colorimetric assay based on the reduction of a tetrazolium salt [2,3-bis[2-methyloxy-4-nitro-5-sulfophenyl]-2H-tetrazolium-5-carboxanilide (XTT)] for rapidly determining the susceptibility of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates to bactericidal antibiotics is described. There was excellent agreement between the tobramycin and ofloxacin MICs determined after 5 h using the XTT assay and after 18 h u...
